Changes with Brandon

Well a lot has been going on with Brandon of how much he has developed in the past month!! He is now sitting up, pulling himself up, and crawling every where and getting fast! All he has to do is learn how to walk, my prediction is by the time he is 10-12 months old. Also he sleeps like an little Angel.

News on the family we are moving to Corpus Christi, TX from Virginia Beach on December 13, 2008. We are not looking forward to the 26 hour drive but looking forward to living back in Texas near family. For Nicole she is excited about being able to grocery shop at HEB!!!! Aaron is excited about starting flight school and ready to get it started. We found a cute house about 20 mintues from NAS CC so it won't be to bad of a commute for him. Nicole is looking forward to being able to stay home with the little Brandon and I am sure Brandon can't wait to be able to see his mommy all day and see his puppy "Maddy".

Brandon's 1st Halloween 2008

Brandon had his 1st Halloween, as a pumpkin! Aaron, Brandon and I went Trick or Treating on our street with a few of our neighbors. It was nice and cold outside but fun!! Brandon enjoyed his first Halloween!

NAS Oceana Air Show September 20th

I forgot to post this earlier but this picture was toooo cute not to post on our blog. Aaron flew in the air show this year and Brandon and I went to go see him fly. It was a full day adventure and fun!

Krissy and Kurt Stolka Wedding 9.26.08

My cousin Krissy got married to a great guy Kurt Stolka over the weekend in Annapolis, MD. It was at the Chesapeake Beach Club in Maryland. It was great seeing all my cousins, parents, and my sisters. This was the first time Aaron has been in Annapolis and had fun showing him around of places we went while growing up visiting there. Tropical Storm Hanna

Well when there is a tropical storm heading towards Virginia Beach area the Navy evacuates their jets. Aaron got to evacuate this past weekend to Austin, TX for a fun filled weekend with friends and Nancy (my sister). I stayed behind to take care of Brandon and the house, just in case something would of happened with the house. Hanna didn't come in as strong as predicted earlier in the week. It was just a lot of wind and little rain. Here is a picture of Spencer Roberts, Nancy Barba, Aaron and John Stroder at a bar downtown Austin. I am glad Aaron had a chance to have some fun this weekend as I shopped with my dear friend Amy.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was a nice one. Saturday we just got things done around the house, Sunday we went over to Clara and Brian Musefeldts house to hang out with the old Texas Tech gang. It's crazy what 4 years makes married and having babies! It was great seeing our friends. Monday Aaron, Brandon and I went around to Home Depot, Lowes and the NEX to see what we could find in new counter tops, dishwasher and fridge for our kitchen. We found what we liked and will probably make a final decision in the next day or two. I really enjoyed our weekend and wish every weekend could be three days!

Strike Fighter Ball 2008

It is that time of year for Strike Fighter Ball. It is a ball that the Striker Fighter squardons from NAS Oceana come together for a big ball at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside hotel and a week worth of sports competing against each other. Brandon and Nicole went to the softball game on Saturday to support the Red Rippers who ended up wining the softball tournament and a 5k run we all did. Aaron played golf on Thursday and his group won for the Tomcat course. It was a fun week and I always look forward to it every year!

Texas Trip

Brandon and I went to Houston, Texas to visit Nicole's family. We had a good time! Visited the pool alot because it was always 95 degrees and up. Main reason we went was to see my Mom she had her good and bad days. Yesterday I talked to her and the doctor gave her some good news that the cancer cell count is low and the treatment is working!! That was exciting news to hear. We are glad to be back in Virginia Beach in our house and with Aaron (he stayed behind to work and watch Maddy our dog).

Brandon 5 months 3 weeks old

My Mom

In June 2008, my mother, Barbara Barba, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She is currently under going treatment and is fighting strong. This year we are forming a team for the Susan G. Komen Austin race, to show support for my mother. Our number one goal is to have her walk with all of us on November 2. Please family and friends join us in our fight against breast cancer and show your support. There is strength in numbers and I know that we can all get through this together. I appreciate each and everyone of you and hope that you can join us. God Bless!

Family Time

Welcome to Virginia Beach Pam and Grandma Shirley! They love spending time with Brandon and it has been a joy to have help with Brandon, Grandma Pam loves taking care of him. I am working this week so its nice to come home and have them making dinner for us. We visited Aaron's squardon and they enjoyed to see where Aaron works and the F18 Super Hornets (Aaron's office).

Poor Brandon got sick on Monday with an ear affection. Aaron and Grandma Pam took him to the doctor this morning and Brandon has some good medicine to take care of the affection. This is the first time he has got sick so it was a little hard to see him not himself, but even this morning he looked better.

Happy 4th of July!

Wow! It's been awhile since I have done anything to this blog. Since the last entry Brandon is now 4 months 1week old! Crazy how time goes by fast!! Aaron came home in May from his long 6 months deployment on the USS Harry S. Truman with the famous "Red Rippers" It was a good experience for the both of us it made us stronger. Aaron is a great Dad to Brandon and loving fatherhood as much as I am motherhood.

Tomorrow is my 28th birthday!! It will hopefully be a good one, for lunch my co workers and I are going to Cheeseburger and Paradise, for dinner I am going to the Melting Pot with my boys Aaron and Brandon and Aaron got us tickets to the Kenny Chesney concert for July 17th and that is my birthday gift!! For the 4th we are going over to our good friends Amy and Cory Hess.

This weekend Grandma Pam and Great Grandma Shirley(Aaron's family) will be here Saturday for a week to visit us and of course meet Brandon for the first time!! I am excited!
